About Us | How It Began

We are a premier midwest wedding photography company serving St. Louis and surrounding areas. I am Laken, the face behind MVP, and 14 years ago my passion revealed itself with a camera in hand. I was inspired to follow my dream job. After shooting my very first wedding, I knew that's where I belonged.

I found my calling in wedding photography & videography because nothing is better than capturing the most important & happiest day of two peoples lives. My husband Derek has been a part of our business every step of the way. I wouldn't be where I am today with his love & support along with our two children, Elijah & Emma.

Being a stay-at-home mom and full-time wedding photographer has been nothing short of amazing. The longer I continue doing what I'm doing, the more confident I become in knowing I'm right where I'm meant to be. I am so glad you are here and we cannot wait to transform your time with us into priceless memories!

I started MVP in 2012! It's been an amazing 14 years of business
My husband is my best friend :)
We have a pekingese named Joey...He is very spoiled..
I absolutely love being a mama...of two that is!
We also have chickens...42 of them! We love collecting eggs in the morning
A little coffee with french vanilla cream goes a long way!
We love to travel and always do the souvenir penny!
My favorite color is purple. But also love shades of green.
I cry at almost every wedding during father daughter dances.
And last but not least, we can't wait to meet you!
